Canada's most hated woman is released

Karla Homolka
(1993)
I see in the news that Karla Homolka is due to be released from prison today. Her and her husband were convicted of the rape and murder of two teenage girls back in 1993. For those who don't know of her, she could be considered to be a Canadian version of Susan Atkins of the Charles Manson 'Family'. Except in Karla's case, she outraged Canadians by locking in a plea-bargain of a 12 year sentence before the full extent of her role in the crimes became known. Hence, she is getting released today.

The definitive book about her and her husband's crimes is 'Deadly Innocence', which I read back in 1999. What a scary book!

Well, I wonder how many steps she will go before she is shot? Perhaps Vegas odd-makers are taking bets?
